Lisa Y. Méndez is a photographer, mixed-media artist and zinester who currently resides in San Diego, CA. Her art emphasizes a D.I.Y. attitude and resourcefulness, which makes it accessible to all.
She is the founder of “From Hell To Highwater”, a quarterly zine which publishes work by artists of all skill levels and mediums. Lisa primarily uses lo-fi analog photography to document events occurring in her day-to-day life, ranging from seemingly banal objects to the most private and intimate moments one can experience.
When she is not taking photos, Lisa spends her time watching 80’s slasher flicks, indulging her sweet tooth and scavenging thrift stores.
